Double Side | Ludovica Sodomaco

The urban configuration of my lot is composed of a series of square blocks, each made up of two L shaped buildings that enclose a semi-public space. These structures are arranged following a grid disposition and overlook the city, the wood or the public space. In order to give prominence these different views I have taken advantage of the privacy of the courtyards and developed the facades accordingly. In fact, the apartments facing the forest have a glass front that rises to a double height. Whereas the facades overlooking the courtyards are more linear and private as these are reserved for the bedrooms and utility rooms. The simple shape of the buildings is enhanced by the dynamic and apparently complex facades, which reflect nature on one side and the urban environment on the other.
