The urban areas rise along the two main routes where the new tramline passes. The tram either crosses these areas or runs along their outer perimeter. Numerous parks have been worked into this geometry and in relation to the wood. In fact, every section contains a part of the wood, the runway cover, the project area, a park and the existing buildings. This new district aims to be the new gateway into Bern. To achieve this result we have changed the lay of the land and covered the runway exits to establish a closer connection between the new area and the city. For the organization of the built area we found inspiration in the design of the traditional Russian dolls: all the lots are related with green and/or public spaces and every single lot is composed of apartment blocks that are connected in the same way to the other buildings in the other lots.
