Memory Cloud | nex architecture

Chosen by the RIBA through open competition to represent UK Architecture in the Chinese market, Nex were selected as a partner to Exception de Mixmind, one of the leading couture fashion designers in China. Responding to different aspects of the Exception de Mixmind fashion range, three organic paper clouds animate the shop exterior and interior. Composed entirely of self-supporting paper cones, the clouds appear as delicate translucent forms. As people approach they recognise sounds being emitted from some of the cones. Each cloud expresses a different range of sounds – Nature, Craftsmanship and City. The qualities of lightness, raw material, and detail reflect the Exception de Mixmind identity.
