Inhotim is known worldwide for its contemporary art collection. A lot of the visitors, however, go to Inhotim to see the botanical collection, one of the biggest in the world. Noticing the interest of the public, a Botanical Shop was proposed, in order to sell plants and garden utensils. The shop is simply an opened shelter to keep the products protected from the weather. It consists of five elements only: two service boxes, two walls and a pillar. These elements support the roof slab and articulate the interior selling spaces while keeping the exterior and the interior fully integrated. A small pool serves as display for water plants. The openness of the building invites the visitors and emphasizes the products in display.
