The complex of the former Pasta mill in Nuragus represents, for the town and its people, an important urban reference point, a landmark, for its history and its architectural aspects. The building represented for long time the main industrial pole of the town, sited in the centre and managed by important families of the area. The main purpose of the project, with an accurate study of the structures, the rehabilitation and redevelopment of the existing buildings, is to bring back the complex to the centre of the town, assigning to it the role of new ‘production’, ‘conservation’ and ‘valorisation’ centre of identity, culture, traditions and products of the area. The complex becomes thus a museum, a forum, an atelier, a workshop opened to the town and its visitors. The main structures of the complex, the old and the new mill, are occupied by different activities that are arranged to collect, preserve and reveal peculiar aspects of the territory, the identity of Nuragus and, in general, of the Sardinia.
