Metropolis ENG-This building is a unique proposal that stands above other buildings of similar characteristics because of its facade geometry and materials. The composition of the facade gives it a contemporary and unique look, where the different treatments on each floor allow each office to have a single image. We identified a frame to develope it in, so that we could accomplish a transition between our building and the others next door. The different-width stripe discontinuity turns also the elevation in an artistic composition that differs from from the traditional “curtain wall” facades. The aluminium blinds create a difference between building functions; the first two floors are parking, the other ten are offices. The Hall has a graphic treatment in which the name of the building can be read in different levels along the wall; this treatment guides the visitor toward the elevators. Lights an a red cube are the main characters of this space. The counter was thought as a light box using whites and reds to match the overall color scheme. The stripe mirrors give the space the final touch. Architects: Arq Jose Orrego Location: Santiago de Surco - Lima, Peru Type Of Project: Office Building Structural Engineers: Ing.
