Jason Hering's loft

How big is Jason's loft: His loft is 87 square meters. It is a large room with an open kitchen located at the entrance. Because the original elevator shafts are now used to house the bathroom and toillet, creates a sort of corridor with wardrobes. It also creates a separate room where the living room or bedroom can be realized. Jason currently lives on one floor and realized his bedroom behind the elevator shafts. In what kind of building is his loft: Strijp S is a former industrial area of approximately 27 hectares in the Eindhoven Strijp that belonged to NV Philips . The historic and official spelling is Strijp S , without a hyphen . Today, we see mostly in commercial publications , also the spelling Strijp - S , with dash . The name Strijp - S comes from the names Philips gave to the industrial parks . Strijp -S was the first park , then came Strijp - T and third followed Strijp - R . A fourth industrial park would Strijp –I, named as the next letter in the name Strijp . Commonly known as the Forbidden City was an area that was surrounded by the Eindhoven building , but that was not accessible. Still, many people went in and out, day after day, because the industrialland contained immense factories that gave many thousands of people work. In whitch quarter does Jason live In Eindhoven: At Strijp. It is very near by the centrumstation. There is a trainstation located at Strijp-S. Called station Beukenlaan. When he would go by train, the train brings him at the centrumstation is about 3 minutes. If he go's to the city on his bike, whitch he always does, he be in centrum city in approximately 5 minutes. One hour and a half and he will be in Amsterdam by train. How old is Jason: 32 How long does he live here: Jason moved here at the first of June 2013. Why does he like to live in a loft: Because of the open space and the huge windows/view! He love's the high ceilings and the industrial look. The monumental ditails, the concrete floor, the big kitchen and also this area is so inspiring. There is a roofpark from about 300 meters. When the weather is good, almost every weekeind there is a party on the roof. People take their own drinks, bites and good vibes with them. Can Jason imagine to live in another flat than a loft: No! For him a loft is not a flat! Even maybe when it is a bit : ) His future plans are to build my own little world of wonders. Living in his city loft, working for Craft industry, photographing and spending time with friends. How long did Jason need for the renovation: Two weeks. At the same time of his move in here, he was working downstairs at his store - Craft industrie-. This was a crazy time for Jason. Friends helpt a lot. The first weekeind we were scouring and painting the walls with six girs and the rest of the renavation two of my dearest friends helpt me and I did some major project by meself. Like sanding the floor. What did he renovate and why: Not that much really. Take one look at the pictures and you know just way : ) Look at that walls! They are so amazing. There was some work of course, but the biggest project is still ahead. And that is the realization of a second etage! And also there will be a pouring concrete countertop in the soon future. And maybe a bath. What would he renovate different if he would do it agian: Can you believe it… Absoluly nothing. Why did he included raw walls and white wall colors: Because he wanted to capiture the monumental and industrial factory life that was in this building before it became a living area. The white makes it clean en creates this amazing feel of space and shows how high the ceilings are. Jason love's non-colors. White, black, grey and wood. It is all he need to make him feel at home. His life is chaotic as it is allready. When he is at home he need's to feel calm, at peace. It is his most favourite place on earth. Were he can think, be creative, be himself and were he lays his head to rest.
