Demo Home is a rehabilitation and renovation of an old house in the orchard in Murcia (Spain).
Why Demo?
DemO_sofía / / appeal to the memory , not the reminiscence , the idea of folklore and tradition from contemporary thought and a performative idea of architecture . ( Orchard and its inhabitants have maintained a rancid relationship since this was proclaimed as ” home – garden area ” , the resignation to the past to give it misunderstood politeness has led customizations beyond memory, the reform is seen as a addition of small luxuries , understanding that needs now are the luxuries of the past) .
DemO_cracia / / ” home for all” , the context changes , the meaning changes , new families form new nodes of life , the house develops from an organizational pluralism and equality spaces. ( renounces the idea of home – patio, what is known as a playground here is a room with no ceiling).
DemO_stración / / without an unwelcome indoctrination , housing protection is another possibility (no bars , finally!) , another distribution is possible (no corridors, finally!) , another organization is possible ( the idea of separation zone day and night modern and bygone be replaced by a single zone of day, night , evening and morning, finally!).
