The presidency building of Al Qasim Green University is the first registered LEED Project in construction in Iraq.
The LEED pre-registration is gold level. The building has the main offices of presidency and some facilities for the overall campus as well the creche and the nursey facilities, the students medical centre with outpatient and firs aid service. The finishing are mainly local as per example: Iraqi yellow bricks, colored conctere and Iraqi glass tiles. Photovoltaic panels are placed on the canopy above the roof.
