Kentron HQ | Marco Costanzi Architects

Project for the headquarter of an International company of electronics industry. An anonymous industrial space in a suburban area with few chances of clearance. The only solution was the closure to the world and the opening of a large internal courtyard, in order to recreate an artificial natural environment around which turning all the other work spaces. A project played only on few elements. Light as a tribute to James Turrel work and to his mental paths in a continuous search for the sublime, the material, iron and cement as a memory of Jannis Kunnelis’ works and of many conceptual artists. Finally the geometries, free as in the typical miesian tradition. [IT] Il progetto per la sede di una società internazionale che opera nel settore elettronico. Una spazio industriale anonimo all’interno di un’area periferica con poche possibilità di gioco. Come unica soluzione la chiusura al mondo esterno e la apertura di un grande cavedio interno per ricreare un ambiente naturale artificiale su cui ruotare tutti gli ambienti di lavoro. Un progetto giocato solo su pochi elementi. La luce, come mi omaggio al lavoro di James Turrel e ai suoi percorsi mentali nella continua ricerca del sublime, il materiale, ferro e cemento come memoria delle opere di Jannis Kunnelis e di molti artisti concettuali ed infine le geometrie, libere nella tipica tradizione miesiana.
