KUBE

Kube, the first-born of the collaboration between delineodesign and Kubico, is a freestanding washbasin with a strong visual impact, characterized by the intelligent combination of functionality, aesthetics and innovation. Monolithic and minimal, Kube is a sophisticated combination of technological and modern materials, such as DuPont™ Corian® techno-surface and innovative Apocem® – slabs of fibre cement made with a newly conceived quartz/polymer agglomerate. As a result of years of experimentation, Apocem® combines very low thickness with superior strength and watertightness. The coarse and unhewn texture of the Apocem® (Agglomerate Polymer Concrete) creates a harmonious contrast with the extreme smoothness of the Corian® surface. Formally, delineodesign conceives the washbasin Kube on a base frame in slabs of fibre cement or oak, which rests on the sink, giving continuity to the cubic form. The plane tilted to drain blends harmoniously with the frontal plane with slot towel and hiding a convenient drawer for accessories, creating a point of connection between the components of the structure. With Kube, on display for the first time at the Design Biennale Interieur Kortrijk 2012, delineodesign sees the first element of a larger collection: the innovative who led the production of this freestanding washbasin full range, which will be expressed Kubico intends to present in 2013. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kube, il primogenito della collaborazione fra delineodesign e Kubico, è un lavabo freestanding dal forte impatto visivo, caratterizzato dal connubio intelligente fra funzionalità, estetica e innovazione. Monolitico e minimalista, Kube abbina in maniera raffinata materiali tecnologici e moderni come la tecno-superficie DuPont™ Corian® e l’innovativo Apocem®, ovvero lastre di agglomerato quarzo-polimerico di nuova concezione. Anni di sperimentazione hanno portato Apocem® ad avere uno spessore molto ridotto in combinazione ad una grande resistenza e tenuta. La tattilità grezza e ruvida di Apocem® crea un armonioso contrasto con la superficie estremamente liscia del Corian®. Con Kube, in esposizione per la prima volta alla Design Biennale Interieur Kortrijk 2012, delineodesign concepisce il primo elemento di una più ampia collezione: la carica innovativa che ha guidato la produzione di questo lavabo freestanding troverà espressione un’intera collezione che Kubico intende presentare nel 2013.
