Pixiv is an illustration SNS that 7 million people are using (it is the biggest service in Japan). They are based on a philosophy to build a platform for everyone to enjoy illustration. "It should give experience in office space as like the pixiv service". "In the future, it can correspond to the number of employees that will continue to increase". "Max 120 people will work in one floor and keep smooth communication" 1: We wanted to support to work in Pixiv. 2: We try to bring people together. 3: People can work anywhere in office. 4: "Communication" is one of important issue for this office. 250m Work Desk We believe that in the information society. Production process created by the discussion of each other while showing a mock-up and move the hand. This process is important. Therefore, we provide a space to take a vague communication in the workspace, We aimed the office environment where you can work while having a conversation every where. 250m work desk has no physical partition. It does not have a clear area of personal space. To build up the area somehow ambiguous, employees will build the space by themselves. This ambiguous area between the seat and the seat lead a pretty good meeting started by accidental conversation. Because, people who walk the path will see the face of a lot of people (there are only two entrance to enter inside area of work desk), so people easy to say "Hey, what do you think about it?". <3D triangle table (Dohyo Table)> It is kind of iconic table middle inside 250m work desk. It seems like no secret meeting for workers. It seems like stage for meeting. Worker called it "Dohyo ( it means sumo ring). * Because center of table there are two power source. 1: Explanation of the background If there were many meeting space in the office, these space became same role and bored. So we planed to make the meeting space with different role which changed the mood. "Dohyo" means ring to play Sumo. Dohyo has sanctity for Japanese and it provide a feeling of tension to people. We thought this tension can be good for the meeting. Dohyo is built in middle of working space. The meeting space in working space may make us to be careful around. But "Dohyo" is bit higher than other people, so it give people easier to focus the meeting. People use this meeting space for "Short" and "Focus"
