GIS 2014 presents the Palace of Water Sports | ABplus Events

GIS International Interior Architecture, Design and Lighting Expo Conference will take place on April 7-8, in Bucharest, where architect Sergey Tchoban will present the Palace of Water Sports project in Kazan, Russia, finalist of the Interior Design Best of Year 2013 at the Beauty / Spa / Fitness category. Born in Leningrad, Russia in 1962, Sergey Tchoban has studied architecture in Saint Petersburg at the Architecture Faculty of Repin State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In the early 1990s, he left for Germany and since 1995 he has been managing partner in the Berlin office of the architecture bureau “nps tchoban voss”. Such significant buildings of Berlin as the cinema “Kubiks”, the gallery “Arndt”, complex “AquaDom”, synagogue in Muenstersche strasse and many other buildings and complexes in Berlin and other cities of Germany were realized upon his projects. In parallel with his work in Germany Sergey Tchoban has been actively designing in Russia since 2003, with the architect bureau “Tchoban and partners” in Moscow and since 2006 as managing partner of the architecture association “SPEECH Tchoban & Kuznetsov”. The highest building of Europe – the complex “Federation” is being built in MIBC “Moscow-City” upon his project developed together with P. Shveger. In 2010 Sergey Tchoban was elected curator of Russian pavilion in XII Architecture Biennale in Venice.
