If you think skin is surface and surface is superficial, your brains have proved that your eyes don’t work. With 102 m2 of surface and a garden of 100m2, Private Residence, Amsterdam strangely symbolizes the typical home space for the Netherlands. With these specifications, the space had to be very rationally organized. But rational doesn’t stop architecture from speaking. The interior of Private Residence, Amsterdam abounds with strong details which provide monumentality. The semi - circular wall in the main area has been enhanced and the curved wall got bulged to give an iconic presence to the space. The boundary between inside and outside, and between architecture and nature are blurred. The garden and the house had to live together in a beautiful peaceful way. Private Residence was completed in 2008.
