Righetti's winegrower stainless steel-glass façade
Stainless steel-glass facade with post tensioned cable. Verona / Italy / 2011
3
Stainless steel-glass façade with spiders. The commission objectives can be subdivided into two different sub-parts.
The main façade, which define the winery exposition and commercial hall entrance. The geometrical shape of main façade was obtained by intersection of an upside down vertical cone with horizontal cylinder. The vertical slope of that surface is 10°. Main stainless steel (EN 1.4301) resisting structures was defined by circular hollow section (CHS) beams stabilized by means of pre-stressed cables and rods system. The maximum height of that façade is about 9.00 meters and was made up by insulated glazing panes 12/15.5/88.4 (FT//HS+FT) with low emissivity glass.
2. The office main entrance. Even though that façade define the service entrance at winery, it maintain the same visual quality as office main entrance. The structure was described with a perfect compenetration of the vertical cladding and the curved laminated glazing of the mantrap. Vertical façade are defined by insulating glass point fixed, the spiders are hold up by means of CHS transom and vertical cable
