Accoya® Sessio seats

Bournemouth city council has chosen three of Street Collective’s unique Sessio timber seats for one of their prime seaside locations. The council were very impressed with the specification and good value of the product range which is manufactured using Accoya wood. Accoya comes with a 50 year guarantee for rot, decay and stability in an external environment. To complement Accoya’s high performance, the steel is treated with Street Collective’s specially developed Colourgalv Marine finish which is suitable for harsh marine environments. The benches are located outside the prestigious Savoy Hotel situated on the top of West Cliff, Bournemouth enabling passers-by to enjoy magnificent views of the Old Harry rocks. The benches will a long life and should remain in perfect condition even in this seaside location which is exposed to the extreme elements Street Collective chose Accoya for this project due to its Gold Cradle to Cradle sustainable certification level and warm aesthetics. Accoya wood is proven to be a highly sustainable material and comes with FSC certification meaning it comes from legal, manageable and sustainable sources. Accoya is the gold standard of modified woods and has exceptional dimensional stability, class 1 durability and long service life ideally suited to Street Collectives external furniture products.
