The project was about an architectural intervention on a historic building, situated in the upper town of Bergamo. The original building was composed by three independent flats, We have created a only one family house: a single space that spread over three floors. The long plan of house (35x5m) have requested a particular study to define the distribution; the two stories above ground and one basement have determined the need of a long and straight stair, that it had interrelated the night area, the day floors and the swimming pool area. The stair is put on the north side, where there aren’t windows, and it is supported by a concrete wall at full-height that starts from swimming pool floor to the last floor, without join with roof, like it had a own identity. Outside the building the project keeps the original elements, respecting the environmental context: wood windows, sandstone floorings, warm colors for the plaster.
