This new build country house near Hawkhurst was required to jump through a number of planning hoops before receiving approval, with the aesthetic of the building resembling the traditional timber and brick houses of the locality.
It was important for inside Out that the house didn't become a pastiche of the vernacular style, and so the detailing sought to create a contemporary version of the traditional home. Large glazed screens allow light to flood the interior spaces while framing the astounding views of the local woodlands.
