Pure White House

- Candid purity for modern living - Thanks to a comprehensive renovation, the aspect of this anonymous building has been transformed by ambitious plans and the spirit of innovation. It boasts lofty glazed walls to encase the lift shaft; a sparkling granular paint finish and a seamless limestone flooring has been laid with recessed floor lights and pebble detailing. In the apartment illustrated, the existing rigid grid-like structure with an anonymous central corridor, stagnant and wasteful of space, combined with modest sized rooms, seemed to offer limited potential for transformation. The architect focused upon few carefully selected materials and finishes to give coherence and added bespoke pieces of furniture to create a daring all-white look. The oversize sliding wood and glass doors add the crucial dynamics to a modern living space.
