To Renew a small and common apartment in Monte Estoril (Portugal), was the challenge of this project. The apartment was intended to lease, for what one of the objectives of the remodeling was precisely change the bathroom creating two instead, as well as, the kitchen. The idea would be to create a modern, functional and durable at the same time. So, first we reorganized the total space of the House using the same material for the floor and the same white color for the walls. The work would have 2 deep interventions: one in the bathroom and another in the living room/kitchen. The original bathroom gave rise to two bathrooms: one bathroom with a toilet and a mini sink and a bathroom with a shower tray, toilet and washbasin. To achieve the second toilet was made a step in shower base area, which, in addition to resolving the technical part, divides and widens the space. To accentuate the idea of division, it was placed ceiling glass partitions separating the shower area and the input area of the toilet and the sink. The windows have some tears that serve as towel racks. To enlarge the space, one of the walls was papered entirely in mirror. On the walls a large ceramic imitating gum to the large bathroom and a toilet of balls for ceramic ... both in white. The other major contribution was made in the living room/kitchen. With a small room and a small kitchen attaches, the challenge was to make the most of any space, ensuring also that if use materials resistant and long-lasting, since the owners wanted to rent the apartment. Therefore, I tried to turn the small kitchen, without input of natrual light and that didn't have a dining area, into a modern and practical kitchenette. To this end, knocked the wall that separated the kitchen from the living room to the exception of a central part that led to two distinct inputs: the entrance to the kitchen itself and the entrance to the dining area. This wall served to sustain the concrete bench that serves as the working area and the dining balcony. Na parede oposta aos armários com os electrodomésticos, usou-se o mesmo papel de parede da sala. To be functional and practical the room has a bookshelf of masonry that defines the living area and at the window a concrete bench that marks the dining area. Open to the living room, which has a huge window overlooking the sea, the kitchenette, previously without natural light, came to life ... interfaced with the room, which with little equipment has several distinct zones.
