Giordano was born in 2013. Giordano is the emblem of the future for us: his quietly sleeping into a little cot, cradled by the hammock, is for us the best visual representation of the dream pavilion. “Dream” as future, perspective, expectation, ambition. In this time of global crisis, Giordano in his little cradle represents that nest of peace and happiness everybody is looking for, a safe and happy corner where everybody can dream about the future, calmly listening to his emotions. The dream pavilion project springs from there: an oasis of quietness within the social chaos, a place to be cuddled for a moment, a place to rock in the hammock, to close your eyes and dream, a place to think, to socialize, to stop for a moment and escape a chaotic workday. A place to find our private time, alone or with the people we love. Our dream pavilion is a place where to be cuddled on a hammock, looking at the sky and the colours of nature, by yourself or together with a friend you can talk to, meditate and share peace with. The structure is very simple and easy to assembly, made entirely of wood on a metal basement; it is formed by two wooden walls, forming an alternative path in the park, and enclosing some spaces-episodes, equipped with hammocks and benches where users can stop and be carried away by their thoughts, or else share a relaxing moment with friends and colleagues. The particular shape of the pavilion is based on the idea to create a quiet, safe and collected space –as Giordano’s cradle-, giving a sense of protection and wellness to people stopping there.
