The Afirmação Sublime by OFFA practice, located in Caldas das Taipas near Guimarães - Portugal, tries to establish a different concept of living. the house is seen as a part of the landscape in which is allocated a set of specification that responds to the client will. A Strong concept defines it, form and function, are embraced in a unified structure. The shape is guided by the intent of a volume that forms from the wall on a flow motion that appeals to a organic way of space living. Everything has a connection formally and spacely, there is a sense that the project, lives on the edge of a contradiction, it seeks to respect its surroundings and at the same time attempts to create a new path for the urban image to follow. The house is conceived to be in parallel alignment with the street but at the same time protecting itself from it, forming the openings on the south elevation creating a field of vision to the nature, a mountain that claims to be a reference point and one of the main project guidelines.
