Pavilon, one of the most important Prague industrial landmarks is opening its doors for the public, after eight months of revitalization. One of the biggest attractions which Pavilon nowadays offers, is the original concept of shopping and exhibition gallery of modern living- Stockist. Expanded on an area measuring more than 2500 square meters, visitors can discover very well-known brands like Fritz Hansen, Desalto, Lema, Zeitraum, Montis, Conde House, Pol74, Magis, Flou, Hay and Vitra. The Grand Opening event took place under the prague design exhibition auspices- the Design Blok 2013. The Pavilon building has been completely reconstructed, while preserving all the historical structural components. The result of revitalization is a magnificat space, which offers a bright atmosphere full of daylight caused by newly refurbished large windows.‘‘Im so glad, that Pavilon has been recnonstructed while historical elements being preserved and revived, like the original engine room, which had been hidden until the reconstruction“. Says the Mayor of the part of the city- Prague 2, Mgr. Jana Černochová. Besides of the showroom of design furniture, lighting and accesories by Stockist, which is the main tenant, customers can find other shops like a carpet shop Barkotex, Brother&Duck which offers pathing, and equipment for bathroom and kitchen, also the audiovisual shop Fullstars, or a space where u can buy tailor-made linen Confido Home. Another shop Modernista sells the original czech design of the 20th century. This building also includes the design walpapers and accessories Lavmi, custom furniture Lugi, a florist studio Mario Wild Flovers and last but not least a place where u can find hand made Vartian Carpets. Finally, as before, u can also visit the food shop Albert. In the Pavilons groundfloor visitors can find the original historical engine room. The groundfloor is also a 180 square metres space, which was created as a gallery suitable for various exhibitons and presentations of many tallented authors. First of all this place hosts an exhibition of czech painter Milan Chabera and, painter and a photographer Monika Abbott. The first floor besides the furniture, shows paintings and sculptures of an interesting artist Richard Kočí. Pavilon can also become a place for various events and celebrations from the designers field. Another interesting feature of this building is a stylish cafeteria, designed by Bára Škorpilová, from Mimolimit studio. The cafeteria has been equipped by furniture from brands like Fritz Hansen, Vitra, Hay and Magis. The cafeteria will be maintained by Edercafe company, which has a rich gastronomic experience. As mentioned previously, the main field of Stockist is to expose and sell furniture of the most important world wide design producers including brands such as Fritz Hansen, Conde House, Lema, Magis, Montis, Hay, Flou, Desalto, Zeitraum, Pol74 and Vitra. Individual brands has been dividend into several sections. These products are intended for customers, who love and admire quality and design, as well as proffesional architects and interior designers. Behind this fascinating original concept which cannot be compared in the Czech Republic is Martin Leitgeb. It was him and his business partner Arnošt Brož, who decided to create the Pavilon, a center of modern living. All of our activities are directed towards one goal which is for Pavilon to become a popular shopping and rest center, where ‚‘Interior design and Art merge and combine‘ says businessman with a passion for design, Martin Leitgeb.
