With the initiative from the Stockholm Furniture Fair and the Magazine Forum TAF is curating and designing the Exhibition,"What were they thinking? Five Nordic architect offices display their projects and explain the entire process from start to finish." The architect offices have compiled material from projects with a focus on the process, from ordering the assignment, via research and analysis, approved and rejected ideas, challenges and problems, right up to the final result. As a small investigation of comparison all the offices were asked to make a quick photo of their current desk top. The design concept of the exhibition stand is inspired from the tools architects use in their daily working process. We have brought the artificial world from the CAD-programs into the real life and to the full scale. As a translation from the multicolored lines, hatches and layers in the CAD world the semitransparent walls of the stand is built by pine wooden beams 15 x 33 mm. The beams are colored in the same way as in the CAD programs and attached in different layers and angels. For full accessibility and openness the four walls have one entrance each.
