The Mandragora Publishers Offices is a place where people invent and produce book’s of Art.
The building comes from the deep transformation of an old workshop, in an urban area close to the center, claiming to be an architecture made of light surfaces, that graze one another, almost immaterial.
Over a base made in concrete, a transparent and lacquered glass and “ light bronze electro-colored aluminum”, brightness and daintiness instead of rough , earthy and solid materials.
The building, distributed on three floors, was born on the footprint of an old settlement , preserving traces and stratification, just as every urban transformation should but, not satisfied with the tracks, looks elsewhere.
The external surfaces, the new private courtyards and terraces that open inwards, the “bridge” connecting the two parts of the building, the vertical movement of the forms are the elements that transform the structure, from static to dynamic, from function to communication.
