ORIGAMI Porcelain is made of folded ORIGAMI using Japanese traditional handmade papers called “WASHI” as a mold and by casting original slurry which enable to be thinner than conventional slip-cast methods and make this porcelain looks like a very thin ORIGAMI paper with a subtle, fine and smooth beauty which you have never seen before. This work is designed to aim to revitalize Japanese traditional handcraft industry which is dying out in fast bulk production society.
