the öhler clothing store is one of the last traditional stores in the historic brixen arcades. the task was to adapt for a clothing store some of the former hardware store’s furnishings without losing the historic building character. the natural, original condition was brought back to life by cutting and putting back together the old and the new. the new steel elements flow close to the existing wooden furniture, completing the overall picture. a juxtaposition of materials, coloring, feelings, tradition, and modernism.
