Chamarande-les-Bains | Bruit du Frigo
From 26th of may to 30th september 2013 at the Domaine de Chamarande (91) Bordeaux / France / 2013

Before being a cultural and artistic space, the domain of Chamarande used to be a holiday place for nobility where water used to take an important place. Bruit du Frigo intended to create an outside sculpture for those interested in the art exhibition, but also to create a new kind of relationship between a place of art and the common people that may not feel concerned.
The playful wooden sculpture is an extension of the existing majestic fountain. The bathtubs spread along the basin like a hand-held fan. Imposing stone sculptures are right next to the bath ducks that are spitting water from the bathtubs. The structure should remind people that this park is now - unlike before - opened for everyone. Families and friends can spend some time on the steps or in the bathtubs. Chamarande-les-bains is meant to be a spot for collective uses, relaxing, wellness and hospitality.
