The protected facade of Rayen restaurant, in barrio de las letras - Madrid, has been illuminated for 4 days and nights by (fos) team.
We created an ephemeral installation that gives a visual perception of a projected beam of light. The installation it’s named (fos), the name as the team itself. The word fos means melted in Catalan and light in Greek language.
In this project the intention was to give the illusion of an artificial light shinning from above.
By using more than 250 lm of yellow tape, pineapples, painted pieces of art, lawn furniture and ... a lamp, we created a visual spectacle between perspective and colour volumes. The tape covered both, vertical and horizontal surfaces, creating a skin which followed the beam’s shape. The colour covered the volume items only where the light was fallen regarding the front view ‘’foto – point’’.
Whether it was day or night, the visual projection of light could always be lit for business.
The result was a visual game between perspective and coloured volumes that would stroke passersby’s attention.
