The climbing gym of Bressanone was built on a prominent spot regarding the urbanism of the city and in this way, the building got an ambitious aesthetics and design. Through a transparent façade, nature and landscape can be transported inside the gym and at the same time the inner happening of the building is visible from the outside. The multi-layered façade structure produces a moiré effect, which allows new impressions for the observer all the time and relates the user inside and the observer outside in a dynamic relationship to the climbing gym. During the planning of the building, ecology and sustainability were basic ideas. They are involved through a precise planning and a specific climate concept with a multi-layered façade, air conditioning and accumulation of heat, provided by interfaces in the structure of the façade and thermal mass in the building. There is no need for mechanical cooling by using the energy of the sun, the seasonal changing of the façade and the natural ventilation, which results in saving costs for the construction and the maintainance of the building. The entrance of the climbing gym is accessible from the new city square in the south and from the higher located city park in the north. The new underground parking will be connected to the gym and for the handicapped accessibility, the gym can also be used for therapeutic purpose. The open gym structure with the detached climbing blocks allows a view to the new park and the square outside and gives an overview of the whole gym at the same time. The climbing requirements correspond to the level of professional and amateur climbers, as well as for instructions and competitions. [DE] Die Kletterhalle Brixen entsteht an einer städtebaulich prominenten Stelle und ist daher auch ästhetisch und gestalterisch anspruchsvoll geplant. Durch eine transparente Fassadengestaltung werden Natur und Landschaft in das Gebäude transportiert und zugleich bleibt das Innere außen sichtbar. Der mehrschichtige Fassadenaufbau schafft einen Moiré-Effekt, der für den bewegten Betrachter immer neue Eindrücke schafft und sowohl den Nutzer innen als auch den Betrachter außen in ein dynamisches Verhältnis zur Kletterhalle stellt. In der Planung der Kletterhalle sind ökologische Aspekte und Nachhaltigkeit Grundvoraussetzung. Sie werden bedingt durch eine detaillierte Planung und ein ausgeklügeltes Klimakonzept mit mehrschichtig aufgebauter Fassade, Lüftung bzw. Wärmespeicherung durch Zwischenzonen im Fassadenaufbau, sowie Schaffung von Speichermassen im Gebäude. Mit der Nutzung von Sonnenenergie, der jahreszeitlich veränderbaren Fassadenhülle und der natürlichen Be- und Entlüftung ist eine mechanische Kühlung nicht notwendig und ergibt eine bedeutende Kostenersparnis für Errichtung und Betriebskosten. Die Erschließung der Kletterhalle erfolgt südseitig vom neuen Stadtplatz, nordseitig vom höher gelegenen Stadtpark aus; ein Anschluss an die neue Tiefgarage ist vorgesehen; die behindertengerechte Erschließung gewährleistet auch eine Nutzung für therapeutische Zwecke. Die offene Gestaltung der Kletterhalle mit frei stehenden Klettertürmen ermöglicht den Blick nach außen auf Park und Platz, sowie nach innen auf die gesamte Halle. Das klettertechnische Konzept macht die Halle tauglich für Sportkletterer und Freizeitkletterer, für Schulung und Wettbewerb. [IT] La palestra di roccia di Bressanone è collocata in una posizione urbanisticamente prominente motivo per il quale è stata progettata in maniera esigente sia esteticamente che formalmente. Attraverso una costruzione trasparente delle facciate, natura e paesaggio vengono trasportate nell’edificio ed allo stesso tempo l’interno appare visibile dall’esterno. La costruzione delle facciate a più strati determina un effetto Moiré, che per l’osservatore in movimento è motivo di sempre nuove impressioni tanto da mettere sia l’utilizzatore dall’interno, come pure l’osservatore dall’esterno, in una relazione dinamica verso la palestra di roccia. Nella progettazione della palestra di roccia presupposti fondamentali sono gli aspetti ecologici e la sostenibilità. Questi sono determinati da una progettazione dettagliata ed un concetto climatico basato su facciate a più strati, aereazione come pure risparmio di calore mediante zone intermedie nella costruzione delle facciate e la creazione nell’edificio di masse di accumulo. Grazie all’utilizzo dell’energia solare, all’involucro della facciata stagionalmente modificabile, alla naturale aereazione e ventilazione risulta non necessario l’utilizzo di un raffreddamento meccanico il che rende possibile un significativo risparmio dei costi di costruzione e di gestione. Il collegamento della palestra di roccia avviene sul lato sud dalla nuova piazza cittadina, sul lato nord dal parco cittadino situato ad un livello sopraelevato; è previsto un allacciamento al nuovo garage sotterraneo; il collegamento accessibile agli handicappati garantisce l’utilizzo per scopi terapeutici. La struttura aperta della palestra di roccia, con le sue fisse torri di arrampicata, consente lo sguardo verso l’esterno su parco e piazza, nonché verso l’interno sulla totale palestra. Il concetto tecnico di arrampicata rende la palestra idonea sia per arrampicatori sportivi che del tempo libero, per esercitazioni e concorsi.
