The restoration project concerned a particular rectangular building, composed originally by an housing unit over a single volume to be used as a garage-storage. The outside hasn’t gone through changes, only through a maintenance work on the façade, where is a window, some friezes and a cornice which evoke the decorative motif of the neighbouring villa, dated around the beginning of 20th century. The inside reflects the original and contradictory aspect of the outside. The garage, transformed and attached to the house, consists now in two spaces – the kitchen-dining and a bedroom with a bathroom –, divided by a stairway, but also keeps the spartan look of its original destination: steel windows’ frames, orange painted lapillus brick walls and a visible stell structure staircase. The upper floor, although an essential style, has maintained the flavour of a house of the bourgeois epoch.
