The collaborative space is one where people and ideas are naturally coaxed together. It is flexible and spontaneous, allowing the environment to be more human and adapt with the needs of its community. At the heart of The Hub is the co-working area where hot desks – temporary structures made of cardboard – and anchor desks – permanent fixtures – are located. There is also a brainstorming area on the mezzanine, an event and meeting area
facing the courtyard and the think tank in the basement. The atmosphere is nurtured through inspiring phrases, plants, a blend of natural and artificial lighting and a purposeful colour palette.

People were central to the design phase of the space through an interactive and abstract
creation process. In order to build a space with the vision of the community it belongs to, we co-designed and co-constructed the space with the members. To respond to the ongoing needs of the community we continued to re-think and modify the space, engaging people to take action with creative responses to their needs and desires.
