Multiplex Europalaces Gaumont : Rennes / France / 2008
2
Between the Charles de Gaulle esplanade and Gambetta avenue, the Multiplex Europalaces Gaumont is structured according to the concept of an immense criss-crossing hall that offers two levels of theatres. It is considered to be one of the constructed façades of this new esplanade. Its architecture presents a play of large horizontal planes made of ALUCOBOND® and sloping lines on which sunlight plays by day and coloured lights by night. These horizontal lines link together like a large urban sequence, the ‘Liberty’, the cinema complex and the ‘Champs Libres’, each building having its own identity.
