Re:Villa is a floating family home inspired by yachts. Unlike the luxury boats, Re:Villa aims to be self-sustaining, complete with a garden, compost toilets, and a rainwater filtration system. The villa is designed for a coastal area and therefore seaworthy. Coastal pollution is easy to collect the main building material for the floating home. This realization will function as a prototype for more floating households with the same materialization worldwide. WHIM also designed a public park on the water and plans to roll out a small part of the experiment in a year. “The realization of the park is a good beginning. With this success we can expand the technology to other countries and other floating structures.
