The site dedicated to the project hold a strong agricultural identity typical of the rural local landscape. Thereby the site has been cut into multiple transversal strips. These strips alternate between architectural and landscape sequences. The building itself is continuous from the south to the north of the site. It proposes a setup of "fence / facade" in which the elements of the brief take place. This setup keeps the neighborhood away from the visual and sound disturbance. Palisade The large technological hall is inserted in a big wooden screen. This palisade keeps the secrets of innovations, preserves the view from outside storages and machinery on the roof. It is both a cladding and a fence enabling the possibility of an extension of the building on the north side. A technological showroom The building follows the principles of a bioclimatic architecture : - an orientation on an north / south axis - a compact built shape, with a lot of inertia on the reception and tertiary area, that gives a good thermal comfort during both winter and summer - the use of solar energy during the winter though the large shed oriented to the south (and protected during the summer with outside venetian blinds). The energy is taken into the interior concrete wall and floor, and given back with a delay. - a series of glazed sheds oriented to the north offers a homogenous and constant lightning inside the large technical hall. An evolutionary building The building and its futures extensions have been thought as a whole. Thereby the floor of the extensions and the space for the networks have been built in the first phase. The building envelope, therefore its "image", is already constituted. The project have been designed to be as modular as possible. The networks are hold into gutters that can be opened for reconfiguration. The space can be transformed using movable partition.
