The completion of the expansion of this house is the result of a request by the artist Tony Morgan and his wife Christine Serdaly-Morgan. Thought of as an "additional room", she stands out as a singular object voluntarily malleable. As much for its disposition as for its shape, it defines itself as an independent architecture designed as a unique object at the centre of the garden. Backed by the gable of the original house, the extension partly takes the form and extends it through a sequence constructed to voluntarily boost its imagery. Treated in a minimalist architectural language, this embodiment provides four additional spaces to the home and thereby increases the overall surface area considered too small for a family.
Made of wood it uses prefabricated structural and exterior finishes. The interior materiality is neutralized and unformed through the employment of MDF surfaces painted white-grey.
