Nenad Fabijanic
Born in Zagreb 1951. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb 1974. After graduation he worked with Neven Šegvić and became his teaching assistant in 1977.
Since 2000 he has been full professor at the Design Department of the Zagreb Faculty of Architecture. From 2012 to 2019 he has been Head of the Graduation Commission of the Zagreb Faculty of Architecture. In 2018 he received his PhD. Since 2008 he has been associate member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
For his designs and built structures he has been awarded a number of local and international prizes and recognitions, among them the yearly prize of the Zagreb Salon (1983, 1988, 1991, 1992) and the Grand Prix of the 32nd Zagreb Salon; Viktor Kovačić Prize of the Croatian Architects’ Association 1986 and 1994; Bernardo Bernardi Prize 1993, 2009 and 2014; and Vladimir Nazor State Prize 1993 and 2011. He also received the Piranesi Award 1995; Croatian Theater Award for stage design 1998; Ljubo Babić Prize 1999; The Marble Architectural Award 2006; and the Jadrankamen Prize – Stone in Architecture.
Nenad Fabijanić is professionally active in the field of city planning and architecture, interior and industrial design, as well as stage design for television and theater. He is also author of many exhibition set-ups locally and internationally.
