Mr. Frangi
Is Mr. Frangi a brilliant inventor or an inspired entrepreneur? He is both actually.
At the helm of his own company, he devises, designs, and produces technical solutions and mechanisms for the furniture manufactured by the best-known Italian and international design brands.
Getting this far has not been easy, though. Challenges had to be faced, and hurdles overcome. But Mr. Frangi has done everything with his usual energy, tenacity, and commitment.

Mr. Frangi is a fast learner and, before coming of age, he had already:

Taken his first job as an apprentice printing machine fitter, starting off as a simple, yet clever helper running errands for his co-workers.
Undertaken his first assignment in a remote mountain village in the Brembana Valley, travelling on an old-fashioned bus and spending a week in complete isolation because of a sudden snowstorm.
Held the role of President of the Young Milanese Typographers, with his own office on the top floor of the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, his eyes following the iron vaults of the dome, looking up at the sky through countless glass panes.
He toured Italy and the world, for work but also just for the sake of adventure. He crossed the Alps on his skis, climbed the mountains of Tirich Mir, Pakistan – where he risked being kidnapped by rebels –, went to offshore races in Key West – although he is not fond of boats, he loves speed. He explored North Africa in search of new ways and new trades, he caught trains, and missed planes.
Unforeseen events never put him off, they pushed him to action instead. He strengthened his skills, took on new tasks, learnt new languages.
And finally he was ready to establish his own business. Plamac, initially a small workshop specialized in aluminium cutting, grew quickly. Clients were fascinated by the novel technical solutions developed by Mr. Frangi and his team.
For years, he has come up with original, effective ideas on how to connect the shelves in a rack, how to open the shutters of a closet, to slide the doors of a wardrobe, to fold beds into other beds. Clients like and value his products, which work to perfection on their furniture.

Mr. Frangi’s workshop is a laboratory of ideas: prototypes and so-far unseen pieces, born of creativity and intuition, perfected over the years, have long been waiting for their chance to be discovered.
That day has come, and Mr. Frangi, together with Studiocharlie, is about to unveil his very own designs, starting with the Small Cabinets…
