Born in Bologna in 1964, Miriam Mirri graduated from the Scuola Superiore di Disegno Anatomico and studied design and communication at the Università del Progetto in Reggio Emilia. After some intense experiences in the workplace, first at Branson-Coates in London, then at the Università del Progetto and at the Stefano Giovannoni studio in Milan, in the early 2000s she went freelance. She has since designed housewares, pet accessories, day and night objects, watches, complementary furnishings and furniture, collaborating with Alessi, MandarinaDuck, Henkel, Seiko, Corian®DuPont, Häagen-Dazs, Bassetti, Coop, Coin, Sigg, Meritalia, Plust Collection and UnitedPets. She has held workshops and lectured at various design schools. She has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including: the 1st and 2nd Triennale Design Museum shows in Milan in 2008 and 2009; The New Italian Design, Triennale di Milano 2007; Corian®: 40 Years-40 Designers, Milan 2007; The Art of Italian Design, at the Megaron in Athens, 2005; and D come Design. La mano la mente il cuore.
