After having completed Colombini Art College in Piacenza, Italy, Michela moved to Milan where she graduated as a sculptress and designer with top honors from Brera Academy of Art. She continued creating and exhibiting new work in galleries, events and show rooms all over Italy, dividing her tactile and aesthetic talents between sculpture, design, ceramics, and teaching in both private and public schools. Starting in 2002, she moved to Indonesia and initiated Gaya Ceramic and Design, a creative and unique ceramic production company in Bali. Gaya collections are shown widely: from individuals’ homes to exclusive shops, restaurants, and resort hotels all over the world. As creative director, Michela takes charge specifically of designing the immensely diverse range of Gaya’s products.
