Christensen & Co. is an award-winning international architectural practice based in Copenhagen, Denmark, founded by Michael Christensen in 2006. Today, the partner group consists of Creative Director & Founding Partner Michael Christensen, CEO Vibeke L. Lindblad and Thomas Nørgaard, Mikkel H. Sørensen and Michael Larsen In 2006, Michael Christensen founded Christensen & Co. Architects (CCO) - a studio with strong focus on and experience with sustainable architecture. CCO has won numerous prestigious international and Danish competitions. Including the competition for Green Lighthouse at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark's first public CO2 neutral building, the new Life Science and Bioengineering Building for the Danish technical University, The Niels Bohr Building for the University of Copenhagen and Denmark’s first school, based on the so-called 21st Century Learning Skills Nærheden. Michael has international experience in urban planning and building projects in the field of culture, learning, housing and business. Michael has experience from projects in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Montenegro, Turkey, Norway, Iceland and the Netherlands. Michael was a front profile for Henning Larsen Architects in 16 year, of which 5 years was as partner and director. He has been a keyfigure in a number of HLA's most important projects, including ITU University, Nordea Headquarters, Albanova Physics University in Stockholm, etc.
