Massimo Mariani
Born in Florence, lives and works in London.
He studied architecture with Giancarlo De Carlo at the University of Genoa.
After graduation joined Renzo Piano Building Workshop and later Herman Hertzberger Architectuurstudio in Amsterdam.
He moved to London in 2001 to work freelance on architectural projects and urban renewal schemes throughout the United Kingdom.
In 2007 he established his own private activity focusing on architecture and industrial design.
The studio has designed products for Danese Milano, MDF Italia, Hitch Mylius, Living Divani, Acerbis.
Works have been presented at shows and exhibitions in Milan, Rome, New York, Shanghai, Berlin, Paris and London.
In 2011 he was awarded an Honorable Mention at the XXII ADI Compasso d’Oro for the design of modular shelving system Vita.
He has given talks and lectures on design and architectural topics at various academic institutions and public venues worldwide.
