Massimo Gardone
Massimo Gardone - born in 1961 in Genoa - started his career as a photographer in 1982; visual communication has been his calling from the start and the contamination between art, graphic design and video films has always informed his photography. He loves to work in his studio surrounded by his staff or tribe (www.azimutphoto.it) in a slow-paced and relaxed atmosphere. He has over the years collaborated with national and international firms, thus contributing to their success. Also noted for his fundamental contributions as a photography director, Massimo Gardone has directed N+N Corcino’s video Amorce Intime presented at the several museums of Fine Arts around the world; from Beijing and Shanghai to Canton. He has directed L’Ombre Vers La Lumiere for Tacchini (Tribute to Antonioni - Paris) and more recently he has collaborated with Foscarini, directing for them the video Infinity. Flowers are at the core of his art and his creations have been featured in books and design products such as lamps, ceramics, tables and carpets for such important firms as Foscarini; Moroso, Ceramica Viva, Nodus and Aboca. His works have been on display almost everywhere; from the Civic Museums in Klausen (Bolzano) and Fontanabona (Udine) to the Museum Ugo Carà at Muggia near Trieste; the Gallery Forni in Bologna and the Gallery Minimal in Trieste. Thanks to Lumas Editiongalerie his work is now known in America, Australia and Europe.
