Marta Sansoni, Florentine architect and designer.
An interior designer of homes as well as public spaces, she works in Italy and abroad. She has participated in several national and international design exhibitions and competitions.
Sansoni’s project “A building for worship” was published by the School of Architecture at the University of Florence and was selected to represent the Department of Architectural Design at the 1991 ‘Salon International de l’Architecture’ in Paris. From 1990 to 1996, in an official capacity she held on going seminars and lectures for the Interior Architectural Design programme at the University of Florence.
In 1990 she was one of the winners of Alessi’s ‘Memory Containers’ competition, becoming a regular designer for the company based in Crusinallo, in northern Italy.
Some of the objects she created for Alessi’s Cactus! collection can be found in the design stores of museums such as New York’s MoMA, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) in Chicago, and the Milwaukee Art Museum(MAM).
Since 2007 she has been amember of the CID (Italian Design Council) established by the Italian Ministry of Arts and Culture.
