Maria Masià, architect with honors by the ETSA of Valencia and in the specialty of architectural projects (Honors) by the Universidad Lusiada de Oporto. She began as part of Fran Silvestre Arquitectos in February 2011 where she has occupied various roles such as Studio Leader and since 2014 she is the Managing director of the firm. She is currently Professor of projects and general coordinator of the Master’s MArch | In Architecture, design and innovation of the European University of Valencia. She has been part of the Eolica Research Group, to wich the ITE Technological Institute of Energy and the UPV Universitat Politècnica de Valencia belong, and was curator of the exhibition Eolica, wich was published in different media such as The National Geografic, RTVE, ELPaís. She was assitant professor of the final Project in European University of Madrid. She has organized the workshop “Do to think” in wich she participated as a guest teacher in the School of Arts and Crafts of Almeria. In addition, she has been part as a team member with Central Kitchens, in the research for new design and development of industrial kitchens for large-scale restaurants. She has collaborated in the artistic direction of several projects of Fran Silvestre Arquitectos such us “House of the clif”, Porcelanosa Group’s stand “Blanc” or “Aluminum House”. She has developed as main architect the projects of “House into the Pine Forest”, “Aluminum House” and “The breeze House”. Currently, she is developing the projects: “House of the seven gardens”, “Hofmann House” and “House in Hollywood Hills”. In that time, the firm has received numerous awards such as the Red Dot Award 2013, German Design Award 2016, XIII Beau 2016 or NYCxDesign Awards 2016, among others. The projects in wich she has collaborated have been published in international journals of architecture and design, among wich are: GA Houses, Interni, Arquitectura y Diseño, Surface Magazine, Architectural Record, Architectural Review, The Plan or Diseño interior.
