Maria-Chiara has joined PiM.studio as full time Director in June 2017.
She had previously worked with AL_A Amanda Levete Architects, overseeing a complex proposal to transform the century-old Galeries Lafayette department store in Paris, overhauling the historic 40,000 square-metre Cupola building on Boulevard Haussmann, with the aim to transform the building into “the department store of the 21st century” with a new architectural strategy.
Maria-Chiara previous experience includes OMA in Rotterdam where she work on the design of the Maggie Centre in Glasgow, and the interior design of the Qatar National Library.
During her 7 years’ experience at Kengo Kuma & Associates as project Architect she has lead numerous successful projects and competitions at different scales, including a Van Gogh exhibition at Palazzo Reale in Milan in 2015, a new campus for Milan University in Lodi, and a new congress centre/auditorium in Padova, Italy both currently on site.
Maria-Chiara is registered with the Architects Registration Board in UK, and she is also registered as Architect in Italy since 2005 with the Ordine degli Architetti Pianificatori Paesaggisti Conservatori della Provincia di Como
