Born in Mexico City in 1952, Manuel completed his undergraduate Architecture studies at the Universidad Iberoamericana and studied his Master in Architecture at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Manuel has attended several courses, diplomas and seminars in Architectural Theory, Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Ecology, Urban Forestry, Bioclimatic Architecture and Project Management. He has worked with several firms and government agencies. From 1974 to 1975 he participated in research programs of Social Interest Housing at the INFONAVIT. Since 1979, Manuel has been a collaborator of Grupo de Diseño Urbano, where he has participated in the development of many projects. He is now the manager of the planning and urban department. And has a wide experience in Landscape Architecture. Manuel has taught various undergraduate and graduate programs. Since 1977 he has been a profesor at the UIA (Universidad Iberoamericana), giving different assignments including Architecture and Urban Planning, Architecture Theory, Urban Projects and Environment Design. Manuel has also participated and collaborate as guest professor and lecturer in different universities throughout the country and as a sponsor in some forums and congress.
