Manuel Amaral Netto
Born in Lisbon in 1983, graduates in 2006 from ESAD Caldas da Rainha. After his studies he works for different designer in between Portugal, Italy and The Netherlands before attending the Master in Product Design in ECAL, Switzerland, which he concludes with distinction in 2013. The year after he co-funds FROM Industrial Design with two former colleagues from ECAL and with which they present a collection of products during the Salone Satellite in Milan 2014. They are awarded the 1st Prize of Salone Satellite Award with Volta lamp. Since then he has been collaborating with different brands like Casina (it), Leucos (it) Baccarat (fr), USM (ch) or Vista Alegre (pt) and cultural institutions such as AICEP. His work process looks for innovation through a careful research of the context in which the project is raised in order to deliver new and consequent solutions for our daily life. He is currently working as the creative director of the recently launched brand UTIL.
