Lior Avitan, an artistic stills photographer, was born in Israel in 1974 and graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem.
In his 15 years as a professional photographer, he has collaborated with renowned French photographer Frederic Brenner within IPWP (Israel: Portrait of a Work In Progress) - an international project based in Israel, involving well known photographers such as Thomas Struth, Jeff Wall, and Joseph Koudelka, among others.
