After graduating in Furniture Design from Nanjing Forestry University (2007), Li Zhiguang continued his studies in Italy, earning two master’s degrees in design at the University of Genoa and Istituto Marangoni Milan. During his stay, he collaborated with leading Italian design brands and gained direct experience in the Brianza furniture district, the heart of Italian furniture production.
In 2021, he founded his own studio in Shenzhen, Zhiguang Design, providing creative design services in furniture and lighting. His clients include leading brands such as Huayi Space, Kamtat Riserva, Rebuild, Concise Home, Recasa, and ColorLife.
Blending Chinese cultural heritage with a contemporary international language, his work emphasizes material quality, sustainability, and formal innovation. With this approach, Li Zhiguang is recognized as one of the most promising emerging designers in China, capable of engaging with global brands and interpreting the evolving needs of modern living.
